Hi Fly is committed towards contributing to a more responsible and sustainable planet. The group has been developing a number of initiatives that aim to highlight important questions related to plastic contamination in particular, as well as pollution and waste management in general.
Initiatives, such as the distribution of Mirpuri Foundation reusable water bottles; the installation of water stations on all floors; and the new recycling stations that will also be implemented on all Hi Fly building floors are some examples of concrete actions taken by the group towards a more environmentally friendly work place.
Also in the pipeline, is the target to completely remove plastic from all corporate catering and reduce its use in all possible ways and occasions. In order to do this, a Sustainability Manual is being developed with the aim of establishing concrete guidelines adapted to the different business areas within group companies.
Each year, at least 8 million tons of plastic leak into the ocean and studies say that by 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the seas. A number of species are now extinct or endangered and the environmental impact is extreme.
Hi Fly is taking this problem seriously, not limiting itself alone to the “Turn the Tide on Plastic” team initiative but by expressing a true commitment towards the cause and actively implementing and promoting good practices in its business and throughout the company.
