Hi Fly participated in the IATA (International Air Transport Association) World Sustainability Symposium 2024, held on September 24-25 in Miami, USA.
The event brought together industry leaders and government representatives to discuss the key enablers for aviation’s successful decarbonization, as the industry works towards its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
João Ferreira, Hi Fly’s Internal Auditor and Emissions Manager, was invited to represent the company at this important global forum, underscoring Hi Fly’s active role in promoting sustainable practices within the aviation sector.
“Achieving the 2050 net-zero carbon emissions target will require the aviation industry to unite in addressing this vast and complex challenge for the benefit of all. Meeting with customers, suppliers, and regulators allows us to share experiences and develop strategies while remaining transparent,” said João Ferreira.
