The Mirpuri Group organised a special Christmas Family Experience at Beja Airport, Portugal, bringing together group companies employees and their children for a festive Christmas event.
The day unfolded across several interactive locations, offering children a hands-on introduction to aviation in a warm and joyful Christmas atmosphere.
The experience began with a ground operations activity, during which, under the guidance of a professional marshaller, the young participants assisted in guiding an aircraft to its parking position, experiencing first-hand one of the essential processes in aviation.
Next, on board the aircraft, children took part in a range of engaging activities, where they learned about the daily responsibilities of cabin crew, tried on cabin crew uniforms, discovered interesting facts about the Hi Fly Group, and explored the aircraft galley alongside Hi Fly flight attendants.
One of the highlights of the day was the visit to the cockpit, where the children met Commander Carlos Mirpuri, had the opportunity to speak with him, ask questions, and take a commemorative photograph.
This personal interaction offered the young guests a unique insight into the role of a commander and the responsibilities involved in operating an aircraft.
The programme also included a visit to the MESA hangar, where families explored the facilities and learned about the day-to-day work of the maintenance teams, gaining insight into the inspections, repairs, and operations required to ensure aircraft safety and reliability.
Through these interactive moments, children were able to better understand their parents’ roles and get a closer look at the world of aviation. By creating this dedicated initiative, the Mirpuri Group reinforced its commitment to its people, celebrating the Christmas season with an inspiring experience that will create lasting memories.
