Hi Fly operates two round-the-world tours simultaneously

16 December 2016

Hi Fly performed the flights of two round-the-world trips which, for the most part, took place simultaneously during the months of November and December 2016.

The tours, each organized by French touristic operators TMR and Safrans du Monde, took place from November 13 to December 3 and from November 19 to December 10, respectively.

TMR chose one of Hi Fly’s Airbus A340-300 aircraft to carry out the 21-day journey, consisting of nine flight legs which connected eight destinations: Panama City (Panama), Quito (Ecuador), Easter Island (Chile), Papeete (French Polynesia), Sydney (Australia), Bali (Indonesia), Mandalay (Burma) and Samarkand (Uzbekistan).

The passengers of the round-the-world trip organized by Safrans du Monde began their journey on board of an Airbus A340-500 less than a week after the start of the previous operation. During the course of the 22-day program passengers flew to 10 different destinations: Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Lima (Peru), Easter Island (Chile), Papeete (French Polynesia), Auckland (Australia), Cairns (Australia), Hanoi (Vietnam), Mandalay (Burma), New Delhi (India) and Aqaba (Jordan).

Both tours started and finished in Paris, France and together comprised a total of 20 flight legs, to and from over a dozen different destinations spread across America, Oceania, and Asia. The successful performance of these two challenging operations, which occurred at the same time over a 15-day period, results from Hi Fly’s long-standing operational and technical experience.

Hi Fly is an EU - OPS carrier, FAA approved, EASA and IOSA certified. The Group it belongs to owns 20 aircraft, and half of them are operated by Hi Fly: A330´s and A340´s, exclusively available for wet lease worldwide. Wet leasing (supply of aircraft with crew, maintenance and insurance) is Hi Fly core and sole business, therefore unmatched operational expertise in this very specific field has been developed over several years of experience.
